BARCELONA-EIBAR
Barcelona players emerge with shirts supporting Dembélé
As they came out of the tunnel ahead of kick off against Eibar, Messi, Piqué and co wore blue t-shirts with the message "Courage Ousmane" in tribute to their injured teammate.
Ahead of the Tuesday night league game against Eibar, the Barcelona players wanted to show their absent new star, Ousmane Dembélé that they were thinking of him. They emerged from the tunnel onto the Camp Nou turf wearing blue t-shirt with the message "Courage Ousmane" written across them.
Solidarity at Camp Nou
The word "courage" is written the same in Dembélé native language of French as it is in English and following his 105 million euro (and rising) move from Borussia Dortmund the player will now miss out on playing for his new club until 2018. This comes after an injury picked up in the weekend game against Getafe.
Dembélé out for four months
The attacking young player, who was brought in to fill the void left by Neymar, ruptured a tendon and was taken to Finland to get the best treatment available. On the night, once the tribute shirts came off and the playing shirts were showing, his teammates did him proud winning 6-1, and Messi getting four of them.
Following the news on social media that the team had shown their support for the new player, some football fans thought it was a bit much.
