Cristiano Ronaldo was interviewed by Susana Guasch after the Borussia Dortmund game in which he made his 400th appearance for Real Madrid and landed his 410th and 411th goals for the club. The Portuguese gave his impressions of the game, spoke about his critics and broke his silence regarding a report during the summer that he was not happy in Madrid.

The talent within the team: "Before the game, we really wanted to win here, to win in Dortmund. It was a challenge for us, as Zidane has said. We had to be motivated to change history and the team did that very well. To score three goals here is difficult. It was a complete match, back-and-forth, and it was an enjoyable game."

Ronaldo silencing his critics: "It seems that I have to show, game by game, who I am. I am surprised of the public's opinion of me. Once more, the numbers speak for themselves. I am happy with my 400th match and I don't know how many goals. The people who are going to speak about me know better than I do. I am very happy because I know I'm fine, when I have opportunities, I score. Sometimes, the goalkeepers saves it or it hits the post. I am a professional, I never lose hope and I have a healthy, clean mindset. I am prepared for the critics, each and every time it gets worse. But that's it, I am who I am, and I work along with my teammates. I am happy."

When you don't play, do Madrid play the same? "When Cristiano is not there, I see Madrid the same. When Cristiano is there, it's the same too. We are a team, not individuals. We always fight the same way. The team has requisite talent to continue moving forward without Cristiano, without Bale."

There have been many renewals. Are you hoping for a new one? "That's a good question. I am happy and these things tend to play out in a natural way. I am happy for my teammates. It's a question that the president of the club might be able to answer better. I keep doing what I enjoy doing and I am happy."

This summer, there were many things said about you, that you weren't happy in Madrid.... : "You did not hear that coming from my mouth, the people talk about Cristiano every day all around the world. If I have to answer everything that was sent out by the press but I live for football."

But it came from Portugal: "Sometimes, it starts in Portugal, other times in Spain, or in Germany. Everything that comes out about Ronaldo is world news. When you are a big name, they talk about you."
