Bale: "It's good to get that winning mentality back"

Gareth Bale spoke to BeIn Sports España after a wondergoal against Borussia Dortmund and a victory to make it two for two in the Champions League group stages this season for Real Madrid.

On the victory: "The most important thing was to ensure victory and to keep going well in the group and staying on top. It was important in order to recover the confidence in ourselves and qualify for the next round of the Champions League."

Madrid have never won in Dortmund: "It's important to always win every game. We are not leading LaLiga and it's good to return to that winning mentality, to have more confidence starting now."

Your goal: "It was good to start off like that. I tried to make good contact with the ball and luckily it finished up in the back of the net."

In the next game, you play against Tottenham, your former team: "It will be strange to return and play against them. But in the end we have to go there with one mission and that is to win. I must put the sentimentality to the side."

There has been talk of your lack of chemistry with Ronaldo: "People like to make up stories but we get on well on and off the field. We have scored lots of goals and won titles together. This is football today, you always have to prove people wrong. You have to live with it."
