Bayern Munich: Heynckes set to be named interim coach
Jupp Heynckes is reportedly to return for a fourth stint as Bayern boss, taking over at the Bundesliga club until the end of the season.
Bayern Munich are set to appoint Jupp Heynckes as interim head coach in place of the sacked Carlo Ancelotti, according to reports in Germany.
Heynckes to be named by Bayern until end of season
Bild says Heynckes, who has had three previous spells in the Bayern dugout, is to take over at the Bundesliga champions for the remainder of the 2017/18 season.
The 72-year-old had retired from coaching at the end of the 2012/13 campaign after leading the Bavarians to a league, German Cup and Champions League treble.
Tüchel, Luis Enrique, Van Gaal, Nagelsmann linked
Thomas Tüchel, Luis Enrique and Louis van Gaal are among the names to have been linked with the Allianz Arena in the wake of Ancelotti's departure after last week's 3-0 Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
Meanwhile, it has also been reported that Hoffenheim boss Julian Nagelsmann is the favourite to take charge at Bayern from the beginning of next term.
