Ancelotti and Modric Croatian reunion on the cards...
Croatia are interested in securing the services of the Italian coach on the condition they qualify for Russia 2018.
Less than a month has passed Carlo Ancelotti was relieved of his duties as Bayern Munich head coach and there is no shortage of interest for the 58 year olds services.
The latest would-be suitors are the Croatian Federation with La Gazzetta dello Sport reporting that they are on the search for someone to steer the side to the Russian World Cup in place of temporary coach Zlatko Dalic who is a replacement for the recently sacked Ante Cacic. The key caveat in Ancelotti being a serious candidate is the condition that The Vatrenien secure a place in next summers World Cup.
Play-off vs. Greece
The Croatians face a two legged play-off against Greece in early November with the winner securing a place in Russia. The possible recruitment of Ancelotti for Croatia would see the Italian reunited with Luka Modric. The midfielder blossomed as a player under Ancelotti in his time at Real Madrid.
