Real Madrid in brief: Madrid derby news, Dele Alli rumours and more
Real Madrid travel to the Wanda for the first time to face Atlético while English media belive Dele Alli could move to los Blancos due to Jorge Mendes' influence.
The first ever Madrid derby takes place at the Wanda Metrpolitano as Real Madrid look to close the gap on Barcelona and Valencia ahead of them in the league. There's news about that and more in our daily Real Madrid round-up.
900 Real Madrid fans to take to the Wanda
Chelsea brought 2,300, Roma will bring 2,000 and Real Madrid will have 900 fans in the stadium on Saturday night to cheer on their side. They will be escorted into the stadium with security through the visitors tunnel so there will be no mixing and no trouble between the two rival sets of supporters.
The game is, of course, a sell-out, and while some big games in previous years had limited seating left in expensive zones, the first Madrid derby at the Wanda will have no spare seats.
Increased wages at Real Madrid could convince Dele Alli
The Daily Mail report that Dele Alli has asked for a wage increase at Spurs and while he has a contract at the club until 2022, there could be an opportunity for Real Madrid to swoop in for his services with Jorge Mendes acting as the dealbroker. His low wages, and Real Madrid's ability to increase them could leave the door ajar for some of Europe's biggest teams to convince him to leave White Hart Lane.
Kepa continues to get closer
The decision has been made by Real Madrid. Kepa Arrizabalaga will be the new keeper for Real Madrid next season and he is closer than ever to the club. His contract finishes with Athletic Club in June 2018 and while negotiations are ongoing, his people reject that a deal has been agreed. It is becoming more and more likely, however, that a deal will be reached.
