ETIENNE LAURENTEFE

PSG extended their lead at the top of Ligue 1 to 10 points with victory over Troyes at Parc des Princes.

Edinson Cavani missed a penalty in the first half before Neymar broke the deadlock with 17 minutes remaining. The Brazil international – whose father did little to quash rumours of a future move to Real Madrid – seized on a loose ball and rasped a shot in to the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

Cavani made up for his earlier error on the brink of the final whistle, firing Neymar’s cut-back beyond Mamadou Samassa and in to the net.

MOTM: Samuel Grandsir. The Troyes right-winger was a consistent threat from the flank, and was unlucky to have a goal ruled out for offside.
