Barcelona-Getafe: Piqué misses training and is doubtful for clash
Gerard Piqué underwent physiotherapy on his knee on Friday after playing through the pain in Barça's Copa del Rey win over Valencia.
Gerard Piqué has sat out Barcelona training a day after playing through the pain in Thursday's crunch Copa del Rey clash with Valencia, and appears likely to miss this weekend's LaLiga match against Getafe.
Piqué played at Valencia despite knee problem
Despite suffering from a knee ligament issue, the central defender featured for just over 80 minutes of Barça's 2-0 semi-final second-leg win at Mestalla, which saw the Catalans complete a 3-0 aggregate triumph.
However, the problem is understood to require 10 days' rest to fully heal, meaning that the Spaniard is unlikely to be included at the Camp Nou on Sunday.
If his absence is confirmed, the indications are that midfielder Sergio Busquets will be drafted into defence alongside new signing Yerry Mina, who made his Barça debut when he came on for Piqué against Los Che.
Centre-backs Thomas Vermaelen (injured) and Samuel Umtiti (suspended) are unavailable for the visit of Los Azulones.
