In this atmosphere of uncertainty, Vinicius has been linked with Arsenal, and a new development has intensified the speculation: Michael Yormark, president of Roc Nation, the agency that represents Vinicius, landed in London on Monday. So far, the reason for his trip to the British capital has not been disclosed.
As AS reported, all of this comes against the backdrop of Vinicius’s renewal negotiations with Real Madrid. A significant salary increase and an adjustment to the percentage he receives from image rights are the key issues being discussed between the player and the club, in the very week the team’s biggest star returned to a squad that is still not at full strength.
The club linked with Vinicius should he ultimately decide to leave this transfer window is no ordinary side. Arsenal are the reigning Premier League champions and Champions League finalists. They have a clearly defined squad that appears to be missing only a player of Vinicius’s profile to complete the project, and this would seem the ideal moment to make such a move, with Arteta’s long-term rebuild at its peak.
For some time, the left wing has been considered the weakest attacking position in the Gunners setup. Gabriel Martinelli no longer appears to be viewed as an undisputed starter, while Leandro Trossard, who has delivered strong performances and valuable contributions in recent seasons, has just left for Turkey. Vinicius would represent a major upgrade in quality and, alongside Bukayo Saka, could form arguably the most devastating winger partnership in world football.
