Rayo Vallecano fined €30,000 for anti-racist tifo
The Rayo Vallecano fans kicked off a campaign to fight racism in socety and sport and have been handed a large fine by the Anti-violence commission.
The antiviolence commission has proposed two fines of €30,000 each for Sevilla for signs that displayed the name of their ultras group "Biris" during a LaLiga game; another for Rayo Vallecano for displaying a mosaic that was not authorised and another of €10,000 to Leganes for the use of flares in the stands.
According to the commission, Sevilla allowing the signs to be displayed against Girona and Leganes in the Primera and said that it was "clearly an act that gives publicity and spreading of the ultra group and promotion of their activities".
Rayo Vallecano fans fighting racism fined
The Leganes fine is for endangering spectators with the use of flares in the Copa del Rey semi-final on January 31st.
For this reason, the commission has proposed six serious sanctions of €10,000 along with no access to the stadium for two years for the six fans who brought the flares in and lit them.
They have also classified the Malaga-Sevilla game on the 28th a high risk game and have proposed six more sanctions of €2,000 for five fans who brought sticks to a game between Logroñes and Burgos and another for someone who threw a glass bottle at police close to Pontevedra stadium during the game against Racing de Ferrol in the Segunda B.
