Messi and co. arrive in Madrid, train at Real Madrid training facility

Lionel Messi is hopeful he will get to play against Spain after missing out against Italy on Friday night but Di Maria and Aguero have been ruled out.

Argentina, with their captain Lionel Messi along with two injured players in Angel di Maria and Sergio Aguero, landed in Madrid on Saturday where they will play Spain at the Wanda Metropolitano on Tuesday night. The first leg of their tour saw them beat Italy in Manchester on Friday night.

Messi set to train at Real Madrid's training ground

The squad, managed by Jorge Sampaoli, landed in Barajas from Manchester and stayed at the Eurostar Tower Hotel and travelled to Valdebebas where they will training at the Ciudad Deportiva Real Madrid, a short spin from the Wanda and the airport. There, they will take part in a light recovery session according to EFE.

They will have to do without Angel di Maria, who injured the back of his right thigh on Friday night, along with Sergio Aguero, who suffered a knee injury that kept him out of the clash against Italy.

As for Messi, the player said he really wanted and hoped to play against Spain but had been suffering from muscle fatigue for some time and decided to rest against Italy.
