Guangzhou's Alan Carvalho banned for eight games
The Brazilian striker has been banned by the Chinese FA after elbowing Tianjin’s Liu Yiming last month.

Guangzhou Evergrande striker Alan Carvalho has been given an eight-game ban by the Chinese Football Association (CFA) after he was sent off for elbowing Tianjing Quanjian defender Liu Yiming last month.
Along with the eight-match suspension, the Brazilian forward was given a 56,000-yuan (US$8,918) fine by the CFA.
CFA will suspend Alan for 8 matches. The brazilian was sent off due to elbowing against a rival player in Tianjin Quanjian 0:1 Guangzhou Evergrande on Mar. 30th. His comeback could be the away match against Shanghai SIPG on Jun. 21st. He was also fined for ¥56k ($8.9k). pic.twitter.com/t3s29qwFas

Upsetting news for Evergrande
This season, Alan has scored six times in four league games with Evergrande, with his club trailing leaders Shanghai SIPG by only three points.
The 28-year-old will remain unavailable until July 21, when Evergrande face SIPG.
He has already served one game of his ban, missing Sunday’s win over Shandong Luneng.
The Guangzhou side, coached by the 2006 World Cup winner Fabio Cannavaro, are aiming to top the Chinese Super League (CSL) for a ninth consecutive occasion, but Alan’s suspension may hinder the feat.
He remains available to play in the Asian Champions League and participate in next week's game against Cerezo Osaka, in which last-16 qualification is at stake.
