PSG: Thomas Tuchel named as Unai Emery's replacement
Paris Saint-Germain confirmed on Monday that the former Borussia Dortmund coach will take charge of the club for the next two seasons.
German Thomas Tuchel has been named Paris Saint-Germain coach for the next two seasons, the Ligue 1 champions said on Monday.
He takes over from Unai Emery, whose contract expires at the end of the current term.
Former Mainz and Borussia Dortmund coach Tuchel will be expected to take PSG past the quarter-finals of the Champions League as they have never reached the last four since their big-spending Qatari owners took over in 2011.
This season, PSG were eliminated by Real Madrid in the last-16 of the competition.
They have, however, achieved a domestic treble by winning the Ligue 1 title as well as the League and French Cups.
