Sevilla have one million reasons to support Liverpool on Saturday
If Liverpool beat Real Madrid on Saturday night in Kiev in the Champions League final, they will charge the club for an add-on in Alberto Moreno's transfer.
Sevilla will be sending Liverpool a bill of €1 million if they beat Real Madrid in the Champions League final on Saturday night. Muchodeporte believe that this is one of the add-ons included in the Alberto Moreno deal four years ago when the defender left the Nervión for Merseyside.
Moreno was sold for €18 million with variables added on, one of them for winning the Premier League of the Champions League. The 25-year-old has played in 10 games this season in the European competition, which is more than 50% of the games. That was another stipulation that would require Liverpool to pay Sevilla.
Having left in August 2014 after winning the Europa League with Sevilla, he was prevented from playing in the European Super Cup against Real Madrid at the start of the season. Moreno came through Sevilla's youth academy and was close to a return to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan last summer and was linked with other clubs too. He earned the starting spot in Klopp's side eventually but an injury in December forced a shuffle and he has not been able to win it back.
