Brazil's Thiago Silva has revealed that Neymar gave him a foul-mouthed earful for returning the ball to Costa Rica after a stoppage in play during the Seleçao's 2-0 World Cup victory over Los Ticos on Friday.
Neymar "disappointed me," admits Brazil defender
"He's like a little brother to me; I try to look after him," Silva told O Globo. "Today [Friday] he disappointed me, because he insulted me really badly when I returned the ball. He was right in that they had really got stuck into him, but we weren't going to lose the game because of that one ball."
Neymar was on the end of rough treatment from the Costa Ricans throughout the Group E game, which saw Brazil earn their first win at Russia 2018 courtesy of injury-time goals by Philippe Coutinho and the Paris Saint-Germain forward.

Asked about Neymar's tears after the final whistle in Saint Petersburg, the central defender said: "There's a lot of responsibility on him, and not everyone is capable of taking that on in the way he does. He deserved his goal, and I think we took a weight off the shoulders of all Brazilians."
