Alphonso Davies: Real Madrid reportedly tracking starlet
The Toronto Sun says Vancouver Whitecaps' 17-year-old Canada winger is on Real's radar, with several other European clubs also interested.
Real Madrid's current policy of snapping up the world's top young talents has led the LaLiga giants to target Vancouver Whitecaps starlet Alphonso Davies, according to a report in Canada.
Davies has shone in MLS since making debut as 15-year-old
Winger given senior Canada debut last summer
Indeed, the form shown by Davies in his 52 MLS appearances - which have brought two goals and seven assists - has seen him win six international caps for Canada, having been handed his senior debut in a June 2017 friendly against Curaçao.
The Ghana-born attacker was part of the Canadian squad that reached the quarter-finals of the 2017 Gold Cup in the United States, and not only finished as joint-top scorer with three goals, but was also included in the tournament's all-star XI.
Man Utd, Liverpool, Bayern and PSV also said to be keen
However, the Toronto Sun's report adds that Real Madrid can expect to face stiff competition for Davies' signature, with Manchester United, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and PSV Eindhoven also thought to be keeping tabs on the youngster.
