Enzo Zidane has agreed a deal to return to Spain on loan at Rayo Majadahonda for the 2018-19 season.

The former Real Madrid midfielder and son of Zinedine Zidane said he had received “various offers from Spain and abroad” but had been won over by the proposal set out by the modest side from the Madrid suburbs, who will make their Segunda División debut in August after achieving promotion from Segunda B for the first time in their history last season.

Enzo looking for continuity after Alavés disappointment

Enzo, 23, moved to Lausanne-Sport in search of minutes in January after failing to nail down a starting role at Alavés, who he joined in 2017 but managed only a handful of appearances.

In Switzerland, he played 16 times and scored twice as Lausanne-Sport were relegated to the second tier.

He made just one senior appearance for Real Madrid under his father, in a Copa del Rey game against Cultural Leonesa, scoring from the bench in a 6-1 win.
