Silvio Berlusconi has been the latest personality in Italy to give his opinion on Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Turin. The attention in Italy garnered by Juventus’ signing of the Portuguese has been so much so that the topic even came up in newspaper Il Giornale’s political interview with the former Italian prime minister, who was also the owner of AC Milan from 1986 to 2017.
“As a Milan fan, (the signing of Ronaldo) will have a terrible impact. But, really, the arrival of a great champion like Cristiano Ronaldo to Serie A is good news, not only for Juventus, but for all of Italian football. Therefore, I congratulate Juventus, its managers and its supporters,” said Berlusconi, seeing the positive side of Cristiano’s arrival, even if it is not a positive for his team.
