Former France international Jean-Alain Boumsong appointed in Cameroon’s technical staff
Boumsong has been appointed as assistant to Clarence Seedorf for Cameroon’s national team.
Jean-Alain Boumsong, a former defender of Juventus and Newcastle, has joined the Clarence Seedorf's staff, who last month was appointed new coach of the Cameroon national team.
As requested by Seedorf, the Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot) unveiled on Tuesday the complete composition of the national tema’s staff.
Boumsong was appointed 2nd assistant to the Dutch tactician.
The Cameroon-born former France international was employed alongside former Indomitable Lions striker Joel Epalle, who will be serving as Seedorf’s third deputy.
Former Barcelona forward Patrick Kluivert holds the position of first assistant.
Boumsong working with Cameroon since June
The 38-year-old Boumsong has been working with the Fecafoot since June.
He has been in charge of heading a committee to reform Cameroon’s national set up as well as to establish an efficient technical staff for the national teams.
Currently, the Indomitable Lions are preparing for a 2019 African Nations Cup qualifier against Comoros on 8 September.
From 2003 to 2009, Boumsong was called-up 27 for the France national team.
