Uganda seal place in 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finals
A 1-0 win over Cape Verde at the Mandela stadium was enough for "The Cranes" to seal their passage to next summers tournament in Cameroon.

A slender 1-0 win in Kampala over Cape Verde was enough for "The Cranes" to seal their passage to the finals with the vital goal coming late in the second half as Patrick Kaddu put the home side ahead.
This will be Uganda's seventh appearance at the CAN finals and their second consecutive tournament after their disappointing performance at Gabon 2017.
