Cavani lined up for Atlético as Chelsea and Napoli watch on
According to French outlet France Football, PSG have put a valuation on their Uruguayan striker with the player interested in a new challenge under Simeone.
In the end Atlético Madrid ruled out a potential move to bring in a striker in the January transfer window, however, Edinson Cavani is being lined up for the start of next season. This is according to reports in France Football.
Cavani for Atlético
Steps are already being taken at the Wanda Metropolitano to secure one of the most prolific goalscorers in Europe for next season, says the French paper known for the Ballon d'Or awards. The price Paris Saint-Germain are looking for, they say, is 50 million euros. A more than reasonable valuation given the current transfer market, even with his age in mind.
Other reported interest in the Uruguayan comes from Chelsea and Napoli, both of whom said to have been in contact with his entourage, but the player appears to prefer the chance to work under the guidance of fellow South American, Diego Simeone. It is not the first time that Atlético have negotiated with Cavani and the project, one that would allow him to fight for Europe's major titles appeals to him. European success has, as yet, alluded the PSG plans.
Although many commentators have spoken of the need for a proven striker to be brought to the Spanish capital, most were referring to Atlético's neighbours.
