Official: Real Madrid sign Mohamed Mizzian
Mizzian's impressive performance for Melilla in the second leg of the Copa del Rey tie against Los Blancos was enough to convince Madrid’s sporting direction to sign him.
Real Madrid have closed the signing of promising youngster Mohamed Mizzian from Second Division B side Melilla.
Barcelona were also understood to be interested in signing in the 18-year-old, but in the end Madrid have secured a loan deal for the player with the option to buy at the end of the season, when his contract with Melilla finalises.
Mizzian has already experienced playing at the Santiago Bernabeu, where his impressive performance for Melilla in the second leg of the Copa del Rey tie against Los Blancos on December 6 was enough to convince Madrid’s sporting direction to sign him.
Madrid were on the verge of closing the signing of the youngster some weeks ago, but the deal had to be put on hold as the player was changing agents.
The young striker will most likely be incorporated in the club’s ‘B’ team, Real Madrid Castilla, but could see himself called up to the first team by coach Santiago Solari to provide cover for the injured Mariano Diaz, should the club not sign another striker in the January transfer window.
