Guardiola recieves FA warning
Pep Guardiola has recieved a warning from the FA following his touchline antics during the Manchester City-Liverpool game on Thursday night.
The Football Association has warned Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola over his behaviour during his side’s clash with Liverpool on Thursday night.
During the game, the ex-Barcelona coach threw his scarf on the ground and shouted at the fourth official, Martin Atkinson, after a decision in the second half did not go the way of his team.
It is the first warning of its kind that Guardiola has received from the FA this season. Under FA rules, in the case that he received four warnings of this nature, Guardiola would face a touchline ban for one or up to several games.
On Thursday, Guardiola’s side forced Liverpool’s first defeat of the season, with a 2-1 victory that cut the gap between the Reds and Manchester City to four points.
