Leeds target Kiko Casilla absent from Tuesday's session
The goalkeeper missed the workout, presumably because he is finalizing his move to Leeds. Solari called up several reserve team players to make up the numbers.
Real Madrid were back on the practice pitches in Valdebebas this morning to prepare for tomrrow's Copa del Rey Last 16 return leg against Leganés.
Santiago Solari divided the squad into two groups for the opening drills - on the one side were Modric, Marcelo, Keylor, Casemiro, Vinicius and Varane, while the second group comprised Odriozola, Ramos, Isco, Lucas, Brahim, Nacho and Ceballos. The coach boosted the numbers by calling up a number of reserve team players including Javi Sánchez, Alberto, Jaume Grau and De Frutos.
Injured players train indoors
Eight first team players were unable to take part in the workout: Mariano, Vallejo, Llorente, Kroos, Asensio, Courtois, Benzema and Bale continued with their own, respective rehabilitation programmes. Another notable absentee was Kiko Casilla, who presumably has been granted permission to miss the session to finalize his proposed departure to Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds United, with a deal expected in the next few hours. The keeper will fly out to England later today or tomorrow for a medical. Víctor Orta has managed to persuade Madrid to let Casilla go on a free with Leeds picking up the bill for the wages the player would have earned during the one and a half years left on his contract.
Solari will rotate his squad for tomorrow's return leg, which his team goes into with the scoreline at 3-0 from last week's first leg. The coach won't want any more additions to his casualty list before Saturday's visit from Sevilla, with the two teams level on 33 points in LaLiga.
