Real Madrid: Solari's midfield boosted by Llorente and Kroos
The Real Madrid manager has received a boost ahead of the Copa del Rey first leg, which Dani Carvajal and Fede Valverde will be rested for.
Real Madrid manager Santiago Solari has received a personnel boost for the opening leg of his side’s Copa del Rey tie against Girona with the return of midfielders Toni Kroos and Marcos Llorente.
Both players have recovered from muscle injuries to make the squad for the visit of the Catalan side, who eliminated Atlético in the previous round. That means there is no place for Fede Valverde on the list despite the Uruguay international playing the full 180 minutes against Leganés in the last 16 with Dani Carvajal earning a rest for the opening leg on Thursday.
Youth team keeper Diego Altube will be on the bench as third-choice keeper with Keylor Navas, who has been restricted to Copa duty since Solari took over, out injured.
