Llorente re-injures abductor and could miss another three weeks
Real Madrid have released a medical report on Marcos Llorente has re-injured his abductor muscle and will miss another few weeks.
Marcos Llorente suffered a grade 2 tear of his left abductor, Real Madrid have announced. The defensive midfielder left the field in the second half of the Clásico on Wednesday night in discomfort and was replaced by Casemiro.
Pointing to his left leg while he was on the ground, Llorente walked off gingerly and could miss up to a month with the injury. The 24-year-old was set to leave Real Madrid given lack of playing time but an injury to Casemiro opened the door for him. He impressed during that spell and even caused a debate over who should start at the base of midfield.
He missed a number of weeks with a similar injury in January and will missed another chunk of time with the most recent diagnosis.
