The 2019 Copa América takes place in Brazil running from June 14 through to July 7 and offers the Seleção a perfect opportunity to claim silverware in front of their own supporters. Head coach Adenor Leonardo Bacchi (Tite) is already plotting his squad ahead of the tournament and has been closely monitoring Vinicius' performances with Real Madrid over the past weeks with everything pointing to the teenager getting his first full international cap in the forthcoming March friendly games.

"We're in a time of transition and opportunity for new players" stated the head coach just three weeks ago before sending a team his assistants to Europe to monitor the progress of Porto's Eder MilitaoPaquetà with AC Milán and Vinicius.

After paying a visit to secure an update on Neymar's progression in Paris, Tite sent his right-hand man Sylvinho to watch Vinicius in action last Saturday in the Madrid derby as the Brazilian delivered another convincing performance.

Tite is expected to name his squad for the two friendly games at the beginning of March with Brazil playing on March 22nd (although they are still looking for an opponent) and four days later when they face the Czech Republic. It's possible that Neymar will not be fully fit for these matches and those anxious to see the possibility of a Vinicius-Neymar attacking line-up having to wait until mid June when Brazil kick-off their Copa América campaign against Bolivia.
