Mauro Icardi has broken his silence as his stand-off with Inter Milan continues. The Inter player wrote a letter with a clear message for the fans of the club and the club itself.

Important messages in Icardi's letter

"It's in the most difficult moments when you show your true love. Despite everything that has happened, I decided to stay at the club. For the love of these colours."

"I have played with physical pain that has left me in tears after games and in the days following them, but I decided to always go on the field against the advice of doctors. All of this is because when I go on the field, I forgot about the pain with the one objective to help the team everything I could for the club's colours."

"I have thought my kids that winning is difficult but to win with Inter has a different meaning, that only an Inter fan can feel and understand."

"I have always disapproved of those who have left at the first chance. I have rejected offers that a professional football really can't refuse."

"I don't know if, in these moments, there is respect and love for me and for Inter from some who are making the decisions."
