Florentino Pérez runs out of patience with Gareth Bale
Everything points to longstanding supporter and club president Florentino Pérez looking to offload the Welsh international during the summer months.
Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has finally run out of patience with Gareth Bale with time apparently running out for the Cardiff born player at the Bernabéu. "The Welsh forward is living on borrowed time", is the opinion of Perez's confidantes at the LaLiga club and only an outstanding end to the season would be enough to save the player (as was the case in 2017-18). Even so, the same sources claim that the president has made his mind up and is unlikely to reverse the decision.
A lack of positive attitude and the recent gesture during the Madrid derby have been cited as tipping points for Florentino. When Cristiano Ronaldo was sold to Juventus last summer, Pérez deposited his hope in Bale as the new flag-bearer for Madrid despite his retiring personality and poor communication skills in the dressing room. The 2018-19 campaign has not been kind for the Welshman with just 13 goals to date and under Argentine coach Santiago Solari the player is now securing less playing time.

During the 2017 summer transfer window, Madrid tried to sell Welsh striker to Manchester United to make way for Mbappé but Bale's refusal to move thwarted any hope the Spanish side had in securing the services of the French striker. Last summer before his departure, Zinedine Zidane also recommended that the club sell the Welsh international but it would appear that long time admirer of the player Florentino Perez is now anxious to offload the star and hoping to secure offers exceeding 100 million euros for his signature.
Since his Real Madrid arrival in 2013, Bale has only played 58% of possible games for the club bagging 101 goals in the white shirt with the 2013-14 season being his most prolific with 22 strikes. At this stage only a small miracle appears to be enough to salvage a Santiago Bernabéu summer departure for the 29-year-old striker.
