Atlético Madrid are out of the Champions League, the Copa del Rey and LaLiga seems beyond them too with Barcelona in a strong position.

With 10 games to play, and not much to play for, Andrea Berta has turned his attention to giving the squad a facelift for next season. One area of the field they wish to upgrade is midfield. And one of the players on their agenda is Adrien Rabiot.

The talented French footballer is currently exiled from the PSG squad and his mother, Veronique, is not making things easier for her son. "My son is a prisoner, others can go to Carnival. They sanction him for not going to Qatar when his granny died and his father was suffering."

He hasn't renewed his contract and it finishes in June with Atlético trying to entice him to Spain. They know, however, that Europe's biggest clubs will battle it out for his signature.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have also pointed out that Ivan Perisic could be on the way to Atlético. Reports suggest he is looking for a way out and with Saúl potentially leaving along with Thomas, Atlético could be looking at a summer of rebuilding.
