Varane plants idea of Madrid exit, amid PSG interest
Varane has used those around him to circulate the idea that he could leave this summer and PSG have already communicated their interest in signing him.
Raphael Varane is unhappy with his situation at Real Madrid.
Not too long ago Varane renewed his contract with Los Blancos until 2022. But certain things have transpired in the past few months that have frustrated the Frenchman, who has used those around him during the international break to circulate the idea that he could leave this summer in search of a new challenge.
But the real reason behind Varane's desire to leave is his anger at the club for not paying a tribute him at the Santiago Bernabéu after winning the World Cup with France last summer. His France team mates, Samuel Umtiti and Clement Lenglet, were recognized by Barça; while Atlético Madrid also paid homage Lucas Hernandez, Thomas Lemar and Antoine Griezmann.
PSG interest
PSG have already communicated their interest in signing him, while his agent is considering asking Madrid to raise his salary. But his attitude is not doing anything to help his future.
Meanhwile, as reported by AS yesterday, Zinedine Zidane has singled out Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly as an ideal replacement for Varane should the French head for the exit door this summer.
