Minnesota United supporters had waited several years for their own home, and then they had to wait until the third game at Allianz Field to get their first win, as the 'Loons' defeated D.C. United with an Angelo Rodríguez late goal.

This victory meant their fans were finally able to sing Wonderwall for the first time at Allianz Field, besides the club extending to a three-game straight, still unbeaten at the new stadium.

Sunday's win also marked the first time Minnesota United had kept clean sheets in consecutive matches since joining the MLS back in 2017. The 'Loons' debuted at Allianz Field with a 3-3 draw against NYC FC.

Wonderwall

Oasis' popular song has been a staple in Minnesota's culture since 2011 and is always sung by the fans after a home win, a tradition that started when assistant coach Carl Craig hummed the song after victories throughout the season.

The players began to sing on bus rides back to hotels or in the dressing room, and eventually 'Wonderwall' was transferred to the fans after the home leg of the Soccer Bowl, when the coaches serenaded their fans section to thank them for their support through a tough season.

Now, after every 'Loons' win, the fans raise their scarves to celebrate to the rhythm of Oasis, a hit that become one of the best traditions in all of sport.
