The U-20 United States men's national team are getting ready for the World Cup, as coach Tab Ramos announced the roster for the tournament which will start on May 23 in Ukraine.

Timothy Weah, Alex Méndez, Sebastian Soto, Ulysses Llanez, Konrad de la Fuente, Chris Richards, are just some of the names that will lead the U.S. squad to Europe, where their opening match will take place on May 24.

Eleven of the 21 players called up currently play in Europe, while the other seven have already made their MLS debuts. Of those who play in the American league Paxton Pomykal and Edwin Cerrillo, are the only undisputed starters, both of whom play for FC Dallas.

Weah has already worn the USMNT jersey with the first team, but now he'll seek to be one of the leaders of the squad that looks to make history in Poland.

The list shows some surprises too, as names like Tyler Adams, Josh Sargent, and George Bello were left out of the list that will represent the United States at the U-20 World Cup 2019.
