Vinicius not in Brazil's Copa América squad
Brazil national team coach Tite has left the Real Madrid man out of the squad to play in the summer tournament. Marcelo also missing.
On Friday, Brazil manager Tite revealed his squad for this summer's Copa América that will take place between 14 June and 7 July. And for Real Madrid youngster Vinicius it was a disappointing announcement.
One of the big winners of the news was the impressive Ajax man, Neres, while Real Madrid will have Casemiro and new signing Militao involved. Marcelo was another to miss out from the Spanish giants. Other LaLiga names include Atléico's Filipe Luis and the Barcelona pair, Coutinho and Arthur. There is good representation across the other major European leagues as well as some local representation from Corinthians and Grêmio.
Goalkeepers
Alisson (Liverpool), Ederson (Manchester City), Cássio (Corinthians)
Defenders
Dani Alves (PSG), Alex Sandro (Juventus), Fágner (Corinthians), Marquinhos (PSG), Miranda (Inter), Thiago Silva (PSG), Éder Militão (Porto), Filipe Luís (Atlético Madrid).
Midfielders
Allan (Napoli), Fernandinho (City), Arthur (Barcelona), Casemiro (Real Madrid), Philippe Coutinho (Barcelona), Lucas Paquetá (Milan).
Forwards
Roberto Firmino (Liverpool), David Neres (Ajax), Éverton (Grêmio), Neymar (PSG), Richarlison (Everton)
Although disappointed, following his long spell out with injury, Vinicius can now focus his attention on being completely fit and ready for the new season, one where competition for the forward places in Zidane's new-look side should prove interesting.
