AS awards ceremony 2019
Messi, Real Madrid, Joaquín, LaLiga, Ona Carbonell… our sports awards gala ceremony takes place this evening in the centre of Madrid.
The 2019 AS awards ceremony took place this Tuesday evening in the centre of Madrid, with the leading names of Spanish sport arriving at the Hotel NH Eurobuilding near the Santiago Bernabéu from 19:45.
This season LaLiga turns 90 and four big awards celebrated that fact: Messi (428 goals), Real Madrid (33 titles), Joaquín (532 games) and a tribute to the unforgettable figure of Luis Aragonés and LaLiga itself as an institution.
Spain’s basketball teams, both men’s and women’s, were also honoured, as were the Spanish Davis Cup team, who recently triumphed in the competition’s new format held in Madrid, along with Ona Carbonell and Toni Bou.
