Paris Saint-Germain were victorious against Montpellier at the weekend and hold a five-point advantage over Marseille at the top of Ligue 1 but it was another performance that suggested all is not well at the Parc des Princes this season. Thomas Tuchel’s team has the shadow of the Neymar saga still hanging over them and the German coach had a minor to-do with Kylian Mbappé when he substituted the France international at the Stade de le Mosson.

And former Marseille and Les Bleus forward Christophe Dugarry did not mince his words as a commentator on RMC Sport when he posited that Tuchel’s days as PSG boss are numbered

Dugarry: "Either the players aren’t listening or it goes deeper"

Tuchel is finished,” the 1998 World Cup-winner stated. “He no longer has control over anything. PSG are a non-entity right now. It’s impossible to tell how they are supposed to be playing. I look at the side, at Icardi, Neymar, Mbappé, and I expect to see eagles, aeroplanes and acceleration across all areas. I see stallions, players who play when they want to play and are only interested in their individual performances. There is no unity” Dugarry said.

“In attack they have three amazing players. They were warned before the game: ‘Watch out for Montpellier, they press hard.’ They were warned and yet boom, they were hit. I am not sure what the issue is. Either the players aren’t listening or it goes deeper than that. Even when they know they are going to be placed under pressure by a side that are on paper less strong, they do not respond, except to complain about diving. And when Tuchel makes a change, all he does is take Mbappé off and he needs to justify that.”
