Getafe: “They are a team that are doing things very well. They have a good plan in place that has carried them this far. They are in Europe and they are a difficult team to beat. Right now they are having a great moment.”

Umtiti: “I have no doubts. I’ve seen him play a lot and he is an extraordinary footballer who is going to help us tremendously. His performances are going to be great, that is clear. Everyone can make mistakes. The other day he did many things well. He’s had a few issues, but tomorrow he will be there to compete.”

Signing a ‘9’: “I always prepare for what can happen and I’ll work with I have. Of course, everyone would like to be in a better position. We’ll adapt to the circumstances. It’s important that a player comes in. Let’s see if they allow us first, we must wait for the response of the [Spanish Football Federation's medical] committee. But it’s clear that they will accept it and I suppose the club is working on it.”

Barça’s defensive issues: “I don’t know if I agree [there are issues]. In the last game, Betis had Fekir, a player who makes chances, but they didn’t create too many against us. There are many things that we have improved. The other day they scored the second goal against us when we were playing better and in the second half they hardly had a shot.”

Favourites for LaLiga: “We’ve got just as much chance as Madrid. They have a three-point lead, but we have a game at the Bernabéu for which we have high expectations.”

De Jong’s improvement: "He is very receptive and eager to improve. He is a hugely talented player, who puts more things into practice every day. We hope he will continue to grow.”

Luis Suarez: "I haven’t even talked to the doctors. But I ask him how he is and try to keep his spirits up. It's a process that will take time but we hope he can reduce the time for recovery.”
