Coronavirus: Champions and Europa League final dates revised

UEFA plan to see both comptitions through to completion, dependent on coronavirus protocols, and have pencilled in dates in late June.

Update:
Coronavirus: Champions and Europa League final dates revised

Following the decision to postpone the 2020 European Championship UEFA has now turned its attention to the completion this year of its flagship club competitions, the Champions League and the Europa League.

The Champions League is currently paused at the last 16 stage, with four ties yet to be decided, and the Europa League is paralysed after the completion of the round of 32. Only six first-leg games of the last 16 phase were played before football across Europe was shut down in response to the advance of the Covid-19 virus across the continent

UEFA sets June dates for Champions, Europa League finals

However, with the Euros now definitively postponed until 2021, UEFA is confident that both the Champions League and Europa League, as well as domestic competitions, can be finished this year and has pencilled in Saturday 27 June for the Champions League final in Istanbul and Wednesday 24 June for the Europa League final in Gdansk.

UEFA's intention as things stand is to play out the continental competitions in their entirety but the governing body has not ruled out a reduced fixture list, which could conceivably involve a single-game knock-out scenario, or a final four style tournament from the semi-final stage.
