Rihanna donates 5 million dollars in the fight against coronavirus

The 32-year-old singer made the donation through her 'Clara Lionel Foundation' having previously donated 700.000 dollars to ongoing Covid-19 work in her native Barbados.

Rihanna is the latest high profile celebrity to lend a hand as the Covid-19 pandemic currently spreads from Europe to all parts of the planet.

The 32-year-old singer has donated five million dollars in the fight against the Covid-19 virus with her objective that the money reaches some of the poorer areas of the planet such as Haiti or Malawi with the Grammy winner having already donated 700,000 dollars to coronavirus causes in her native Barbados.

The donation was made through her charity, Clara Lionel Fundation who posted a message via their Instagram account stating: "We’ve responded to COVID-19 by distributing $5 million in grants to @PartnersInHealth @DirectRelief @FeedingAmerica @RescueOrg @WHO and #Barbados to prepare communities w/ critical protective gear, medical supplies, equipment and access to food across multiple countries and regions. #CLF #HealthcareHeroes 📷: Partners in Health"
