Courtois: "It'd be really nice to win the league at the Di Stéfano"
The Real Madrid keeper was a guest on #Vamos and admitted he hopes to end the season as the safest hands in LaLiga: "I love those trophies, I won two with Atleti... ".
Thibaut Courtois was invited to take part in Sunday's El Partidazo de Movistar-Volver es Ganar programme on #Vamos to give an update on the mood in the Real Madrid camp as LaLiga gears up to resume.
Expectations: "We can't wait for the league to begin again and start the battle to win it".
An intense month and a half in LaLiga: “From Tuesday on we will be at full pace focused on football, with games every three to four days”.
Ending the season as the goalkeeper to have conceded the fewest goals: "Those individual trophies are great - I won a couple when I was at Atlético and I'd love to win it against with Madrid. But it's a team effort, I'm the one who has to shot the shots but the award is a collective one. If I can continue as I have been, the run I've been on since October…. I might be in with a chance"
Hazard: “He's in great shape and has really surprised me. He's built up his rhythm but he has to take it step by step. You can see he is back in form and we are going to need him to battle for the title”.
Real Madrid's home games in Valdebebas
Playing at the Di Stéfano: "I don't think it will work against us. It's an honour to play at a stadium named after a legend - the best player in Real Madrid' history. For the history of the club, it would be very nice to win the league there. The training sessions we have had there have been going well and I can't see us having any problems playing there".
No fans. "It'll be different. It's great when there is an atmosphere - even when you are playing away from home and it's against you. It gives you adrenaline and it's something which motivates me to pull off more saves. I'll be just as motivated without the fans there"
Stronger than Barça: “It's only a personal opinion - it would be odd for me to say we are inferior to them when we have already beaten them, although after that we lost to Betis. I think we are looking pretty good".
