2020 Golden Boy nominees: two each for Real Madrid, Barcelona

Real Madrid and Barcelona each have two representatives on the final shortlist for the 2020 Golden Boy prize, which was announced by award organisers Tuttosport on Thursday.

Vinícius, Rodrygo, Ansu Fati and Dest up for Golden Boy

Real’s Brazilian youngsters Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo Goes are among the 20 players up for the award, as are Barça sensation Ansu Fati and Blaugrana new boy Sergiño Dest.

Established in 2003, the Golden Boy is given to the calendar year's outstanding European-based footballer under the age of 21. The award winner is normally revealed in December, but no official date for this year's announcement has yet been confirmed.

Haaland, Sancho, Camavinga and Davies among nominees

Erling Haaland, Jadon Sancho, Eduardo Camavinga and Alphonso Davies are among the stand-out non-LaLiga players nominated for the prize, which was won by Atlético Madrid’s João Félix in 2019.

Alongside Fati, the only other Spaniard to make the list is Manchester City’s Ferran Torres.
