Getting clubs back to top level sport a priority for Aspetar

Doha's Aspetar hospital has played a key role in ensuring sportsmen and women in Qatar are able to resume high level sports activities in the Gulf state.

Getting clubs back to top level sport a priority for Aspetar

Aspetar was instrumental in regulating hygiene protocols at the recently staged AFC Champions League (Eastern finals) in Doha with a team of 27 experts from Aspetar overseeing issues relating to the covid-19 pandemic as high level sporting activity resumed.

Recent Twitter posts on the Aspetar official account, show photos of Al Duhail's winning the 2020 Handball Emir of Qatar Cup where once again representatives from the hospital played a major role in ensuring high level football returned ensuring for the well-being of all participants and delegates involved in the competition.

The pictures of the victorious team were accompanied with the text:"Aspetar, through the NSMP, has been proud to assist Clubs in returning to sport in a COVID-safe environment. Helping athletes to achieve their maximum potential is a key objective of Aspetar. Aspetar congratulates @DuhailSC on winning the Emir Cup #Handball Final for 2020!"

Aspetar ensured that protocols in place ensured that the game and subsequent title celebrations were conducted in a safe environment for participating Al Duhail players and backroom staff.

Since returning after the pandemic enforced hiatus in July the Qatari top flight (QSL) has been played in a safe manner with Aspetar protocol ensuring that players, coaches and club staff's health are the number one priority with the resumption of activity.
