REAL MADRID

Adidas sponsorship could be key in Alaba moving to Real Madrid

The German sportswear giant sponsors the Austrian international player and has a long term relationship with the Santiago Bernabéu side.

Update:
Alaba anuncio así, con sus botas, su nuevo contrato con Adidas hasta 2026.

David Alaba's name is continually linked with a move to Real Madrid and the possibility of the Austrian international pulling on the white shirt centres on two key factors. First is the generous offer and four-year contract that the LaLiga club are prepared to table for the defender. Alaba has been a long term target for the Bernabéu board buy now could be the ideal moment, especially considering the uncertain future hanging over Sergio Ramos at Madrid.

Another factor in bringing both sides together could be sportswear brand Adidas. The German company has been the official Real Madrid kit supplier since 1998 with the club just last year extending the relationship through to 2028. Alaba is also a key sportsman in the Herzogenaurach based company's portfolio and a key player for the Austro-German market for the company and it would be mutually suitable to having the 28-year-old donning the 'three stripes' at his next club.

Ultimately, it will not only be the salary but also the transfer bonuses, both for the player and for his agent, Pini Zahavi that will play a major role in influencing the final decision with Liverpool the other major side linked with the Austrian player.

What is certain is Alaba's desire to leave Bayern after 12 years at the Allianz Arena. The player is ready for a new challenge but has wanted to see out his contract at the club where he has won two Champions League titles.
