Mexico squad numbers for the 2026 World Cup: this is the jersey each player wears
The 2026 World Cup has arrived and Mexico is co-hosting with the United States and Canada.
Goalkeeper Raúl “El Tala” Rangel has been handed the iconic No. 1 shirt for El Tri. Jorge Sánchez and Edson Álvarez will wear No. 2 and No. 4, respectively, while Álvaro Fidalgo takes No. 8.
Luis Romo will sport the No. 7 jersey, and Raúl Jiménez will lead the line in No. 9. Alexis Vega, meanwhile, inherits the legendary No. 10 shirt for the national team.
César Montes will wear No. 3, while players such as Santiago Giménez, Guillermo Ochoa, Armando González, Jesús Gallardo, and Brian Gutiérrez round out the numbering assignments with Nos. 11, 13, 14, 23, and 26, respectively.

Aguirre’s squad gathered for its official team photo ahead of the World Cup, with the session taking place at the National Museum of Anthropology in southern Mexico City.
For the shoot, the players appeared in formal attire and also posed for an additional set of photos holding up their jerseys, each displaying their assigned number.
