"I am the coach, the responsibility is mine, I will assume it as always. If we score the second goal, it's another game. Football is like this. Their keeper made two or three saves. The second goal wouldn't go in. I hold the responsibility. The players went for it and we are out."

Victor Chust starts in Real Madrid debut
The 20-year-old is a promising defender and due to several absentees at centre-back, he comes in alongside Militao at the heart of the defence.
Zidane's thoughts ahead of tonight's match:
"It's not a potential banana skin because Alcoyano have already knocked a Primera team out. We've seen what is happening in the competition and we have to be 100% at it. We know what we're going to come up against".
"It is clear that it's not a competition that lies. There have been a lot of surprises in the cup, it's always been like this, it's the same in most countries. Smaller teams have the opportunity to play against a big one and they give their all. We have to be ready because there are no easy competitions or matches. Never".
Excitement for the cup
"We're excited to have the chance of winning something. We work to try to win things, in any competition, but we work everyday to be ready, we train to try to win matches. You can't always win, but we prepare for that. Thanks for reminding me that I haven't won it, and that's why we're excited about winning it".

Zidane seeking Copa del Rey glory
Zidane has yet to win the Copa del Rey as a Madrid manager
The French coach has never taken Madrid further than the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey and will be aiming for greater things in 2020-21.
While failing to win the competition as a coach, he never lifted the Copa del Rey as a Madrid player either, losing two finals to Deportivo and Real Zaragoza.
Real Madrid squad news:
Victor Chust and Eder Militao are the only available centre-backs in the Madrid squad for tonight's cup fixture.
Nacho has been ruled out of the game at Alcoyano due to covid-19 protocols. The defender was deemed a close contact of someone who tested positive for coronavirus and was subsequently cut from Zidane's 20-man group for the game in Alicante.
The 31-year-old has reportedly tested negative himself but was unable to travel as he awaited the result of a second PCR test.
With Raphael Varane rested and Sergio Ramos absent due to injury, Eder Militao and Victor Chust of Castilla are the only centre-backs left in Zidane's squad.

Does Martin Odegaard have a future at Real Madrid?
The biggest news coming out of the Real Madrid camp in the last 24 hours is the omission of Martin Odegaard from tonight's matchday squad.
AS understands that the Norwegian trained as normal in Tuesday's session with no aches and pains which suggests that the decision not to take the player to Alcoy is purely a decision by head coach Zidane.
Toni Kroos: "I would have kept Lopetegui; he just had a shit moment"
Kroos: "I would have kept Lopetegui"
Toni Kroos spoke before tonight's cup clash about Sevilla manager Julen Lopetegui's short stint at the Santiago Bernabéu.
“Lopetegui's dismissal was the one that hurt me the most personally because he is a first-rate coach and person. He just had a shit moment when he became a coach here. I was very happy for him when he won the Europa League with Sevilla. He deserved it,” the Real Madrid midfielder said in an interview on German podcast Einfach mal Luppen.
