Tottenham vs Liverpool: live online Premier League 2020/21

Tottenham head into tonight's game having enjoyed a 4-1 win over Wycombe Wanderers in the FA Cup. Liverpool travel to London having been dumped out in the fourth round by Manchester United in a 3-2 thriller at Old Trafford.

On an individual level, Spurs boss José Mourinho will be determined to get one over the Premier League champions, whom he has lost his last three league meetings against - a run which represents his longest losing streak against a top-flight opponent.

Mourinho's thoughts

"We have some problems, I don’t want to speak about them, I don’t want to give any information. I’m not really happy to say player A, B or C is not in the squad but we have problems that in the end are normal problems. We cannot expect to be playing so many matches without problems so it’s a normal situation, we are going to miss a couple of players but that’s that. We are ready for the game."

"Playing Liverpool? well, now or later... it doesn’t make a huge difference. It’s just a bit strange that we’ve finished the first 19 matches playing twice against Liverpool and not playing against Aston Villa – it’s just a bit weird – but to play Liverpool is always a motivation, especially in the last years where they were dominant in our league, winning in Europe, amazing team, so it’s a good motivation to play."

Liverpool team news, Klopp's pre-match talk

Jordan Henderson and Joel Matip have been part of full training ahead of Liverpool's Premier League clash with Tottenham.

A minor fitness issue ruled Henderson out of the defeats against Burnley and Manchester United last week, while Matip was not involved at Old Trafford. But both figured in sessions with their teammates in the build-up to Thursday’s trip to the capital and could come back the team.

"Hendo and Joel trained yesterday with the team fully," said Jürgen Klopp at his pre-match press conference on Wednesday morning.

"Like always with these things we have to see how they react overnight and what they can do today, but they trained yesterday."
