SUPER BOWL LVIII

Super Bowl food, snacks and appetizers to enjoy the game

So it’s the Chiefs vs 49ers in the NFL’s biggest game, but what you really want to know is what kind of food and drinks can you enjoy on Super Bowl Sunday.

Update:
Super Bowl's favorite foods

As you well know, the NFL’s biggest game is upon us with the 58th Super Bowl set for Sunday, February 11th at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. With the San Francisco 49ers taking on the Kansas City Chiefs, the stage is set for what promises to be an epic showdown. Where the Niners are concerned, they will be looking for revenge having lost to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl of 2020. As for the men from KC, they’ll be itching to make it two in a row after clinching the title just last year. Indeed, this is the fourth time in five years that the Chiefs have made it to the big game, and a major part of that has been the performance of quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Yet, last year’s MVP will have to contend with a young gun who’s proving he can play with the best as well: San Francisco 49ers’ Brock Purdy.

The Super Bowl is one thing, but what about the food?

With more than half the nation’s population projected to be watching this Sunday, food and beverages are going to be key. Whether you’re watching from the seat that cost you a pretty penny in the stadium, from the comfort of your home, or from your favorite bar, rest assured the game won’t be the same without the right snacks and drinks at your side. With that, we’ve decided to give you a little help so you can get your hands on the best treats before kick-off.

Now, as you can probably imagine, it’s all about the finger foods. That way, you don’t have to take your eyes off of the game at any point. On the other hand, you don’t want to be double dipping, so keep it together! Where the particulars are concerned, what’s better than wings? Don’t believe us, then just take a look at what Huff Post had to say about how many of them Americans eat on Super Bowl Sunday, some 1.45 billion wings every year, to be exact.

Of course, if you’re going with wings, then why not take a look at the hot wings recipe from Half Baked Harvest? Better yet, try an Asian twist with the thai peanut or baked honey Sriracha wings. If on the other hand, you’d prefer to be health conscious, there are options to suit such as these baked brown sugar wings courtesy of Damn Delicious. If you ask us, make them all, and then you’ve got yourself a proper lucky dip. Sticking with the bird, we’d also suggest having a taste of some easy 20-minute chicken cheese steak sloppy joe sliders that we discovered at Half Baked Harvest.

Moving on, we’d also recommend an interesting veggie friendly option, and one which will likely turn heads: Delish’s garlic bread pizza dip. Good Housekeeping have the ultimate snack with these “walking” tacos, made by layering tasty homemade fillings, like ground beef and pickled jalapeños, into a bag of chips. And finally, Delish have devised these original and vegetarian fried pickle sticks; dill pickles covered in crunchy chips, fried until crispy, and doused in hot sauce and ranch. Alas, this Sunday is probably not the best time to watch your figure. We hope our guide helped if even not with weight watching. Kick off at Allegiant stadium is set for 6:30 p.m. ET. Don’t miss it!
