Barcelona's remarkable turnaround in LaLiga
Ronald Koeman's side have secured 37 of the 39 available points in 2021 and have bagged 67 goals in the 2020/21 LaLiga campaign.
Just before Christmas, FC Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman revealed that his players celebrated a low-key party in the dressing room and that there was a good 'vibe' within the group. It's impossible to say if that celebration was the factor in the team embarking on a spectacular run in LaLiga as of January 2021 with the Catalan side currently breathing down Atlético's neck at the summit of the table.
Since the turn of the year, the 'Blaugrana' have won 37 of the available 39 points with the only slip-up coming at home against Cádiz where a late penalty for the visitors from Andalusia seeing points being shared. Barcelona have been especially impressive away from Camp Nou threading together nine successive away wins which include: San Mamés (2-3), Los Cármenes (0-4), Sevilla (0-2) or Sunday night's win in San Sebastian where Real Sociedad were on the relieving end of a 1-6 mauling. The run is only matched by similar spells under Guardiola and Tito Vilanova.
