More about Mayweather vs Paul:
No comparison between Mayweather and Paul’s boxing records
While Mayweather, 44, retired from professional boxing in 2017 with a 50-0 record, having won world titles across five weight classes during a two-decade career, Paul’s CV is altogether less impressive.
Paul, 26, is 0-1 in professional boxing, after going down to a split-decision defeat to fellow YouTube star KSI in Los Angeles in November 2019. One judge scored the fight 56-55 in Paul’s favour, only for the other two to hand victory to his British opponent (56-55 and 57-54).
Paul also drew with KSI in an amateur fight in Manchester, UK, in 2018.
Mayweather: "I ain't gotta use my A game, my B game, my C game"
Speaking ahead of his fight against Paul, Mayweather laid into his rival’s limited boxing credentials, assuring reporters there is no prospect of an upset in Miami. "I ain't gotta use my A game, my B game, my C game," he said at a promotional event on Thursday. "I can use my Z game. Don't even gotta hit him hard. Result's going to be the same."
And amid rumours this weekend’s bout could be followed by a clash between Mayweather and Paul’s brother, fellow YouTuber Jake, the boxing great said of the siblings: "I take my hat off to these guys. They have done good, to fool the public about being some real fighters. Man, you going to find out Sunday."
In response, Logan Paul tweeted: "My opponent small".
