After a skin tight victory for the Atlanta Hawks in Game 1 and a 34 point beat down for the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 2, the series shifts to Georgia.

For the third time this post season the Hawks won Game 1 of the series on the road, only to drop Game 2 before heading home.

Bucks fight back in Game 2

The Bucks responded after dropping the opener with a wire-to-wire win on Friday night. A 20-0 run in the second quarter gave Milwaukee the cushion they needed to cruise to a comfortable victory. They stretched the lead out to as many as 41 points in the fourth quarter as both teams sat their starters for the 15 minutes.

The leagues best offensive team in the regular season showed yet again that they can clamp down on the defensive end, allowing just 91 points to Trae Young and the Hawks.

Young was allowed space and time to take over Game 1, scoring a playoff high 48 points in route to a three point win in Wisconsin. Friday the Bucks upped their physicality, not allowing Young passage into the paint. Atlanta’s top scorer managed just 15 points going just 6 for 16 from the field.

Young takes blame for Game 2 loss

Young put the loss on himself after committing nine turnovers in the Game 2 loss, ''I take complete responsibility for what happened tonight,'' Young said. ''Taking care of the ball is something I've got to be better at. I will be better at it. It's really they just upped their physicality tonight. We've got to do the same.''

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 25 points, and Jrue Holiday added another 22 as both sat for the majority of the second half. Friday’s game gave the Hawks and the rest of the league a flash back to the explosive side Milwaukee was in the regular season.

After taking home court from the Bucks in the first game of the series, it’s Atlanta’s turn to try to hold serve on their home court. Of the Hawks nine playoff wins this year, only three have come at the State Farm Arena. They will be hoping to add to that stat tonight.

When does Game 3 start?

The third game of the Eastern Conference Semis between the Milwaukee Bucks and Atlanta Hawks will take place on Sunday 27 June at the State Farm Arena. The game gets underway at 8:30pm ET / 5:30pm PT.
